Working with people on their diets and nutrition has been wonderful. I’m a great believer that what we eat effects not only how we look but how we feel and operate on an emotional and mental level. Foundational Medicinal Herbalism training has allowed me to go much deeper with this knowledge as well as develop a direct communication with the land and with my body.

In 2019 I took my 200hr Vinyasa Yoga Teacher Training with Dr Liz Lindh under the lineage of Krishnamacharya in the Costa Rican jungle. My practice and teaching style is also greatly influenced by the teachings of Angela Farmer; moving in a way that celebrates the free flowing, fluid female form. Teaching and moving this way is a much more embodied experience. I have to use a lot of imagery- usually inspired by nature- to allow the students to listen to and honour their own body’s innate ability to organically unfold. I do like to keep a some traditional Vinyasa instruction in so no one gets lost!

This past year has given me a chance to integrate the yogic teachings, respect for the soil, the land and soul centred living as a part of my daily life. My online yoga studio has also been cultivated around these ideas. What is most exciting is the Yoga Shala we have created here at Ardtalnaig during this time where we hope to share even more with you in person!
